Top-pot is 18L and has holes for water drainage. 

Bottom Pot is 24L and serves as a catchment.

The nutrient filled water passes through the top-pot medium allowing excess nutrient and water to drain into the bottom pot, this can be discarded in a run to waste system or recycled for a recycled system.
